Spin Studio
The spin studio comprises of 9 Pulse fixed wheel spin bikes, with manual resistance controls. The room has a really nice aura and intimate atmosphere. This is enhanced by the soft lighting and for a bit of fun, the disco light balls!
Spinning is a fantastic form of exercise, as their is almost no impact on any of the joints. A spin bike is simulated to a road bike but has a fixed wheel, which means the drive is very smooth and sturdy. A typical class will run through a interval style routine, keeping your heart rate in the fat burning zone and at points peaking your heart rate for short periods of time, ideal for improving fitness and stamina. You also find spinning, particularly good for strengthening and toning your quads, calf's, hamstrings and gluteus.
A spin bike is quite versatile because of its strong build, so in a workout, hill climbing, sprints, abdominal and upper body work can also be incorporated.
Overall, spinning is an enjoyable and highly motivational environment, for people of all levels from beginners through to professional cyclists who often utilize spinning through Winter training.
Note: A base level of fitness is highly recommended, as some classes can be quite demanding
